Terms and Conditions


All rates for professional services include an initial consultation, first draft and one round of revisions to ensure your document is professionally presented and word perfect for your needs. In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied after this process, you will agree to pay Epiphany Editing & Publishing for all work completed to date (and to forfeit your deposit payment). You may then either cancel your contract or continue to commission us to do further revisions at our normal hourly rate.

On receipt of your project brief, Epiphany Editing & Publishing will provide a proposal/contract for your approval before commencement of any work. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date provided.

For all copyediting/proofreading, graphic design or desktop publishing services provided by Epiphany Editing & Publishing, a 50% deposit is required prior to commencement of work. For smaller-scale projects (less than $250 in total), upfront payment of the task fee is required before delivery of requested service.

Full payment of any associated printing costs is mandatory on completion of design work and prior to your final document files being sent for printing. 

Please note that project quotes are based on all information presented (including current total word count and/or number of graphics in your document) in your original brief and will require adjustment if that information is altered significantly. Epiphany Editing & Publishing will then provide you with an updated fee proposal via email for your approval before any further work is undertaken.

If, on receipt of your completed project you find that there are omissions or discrepancies, they will be rectified without any further charges being incurred.

All accounts are strictly 7 days. Deposits are to be paid before the commencement of any work. Balances owing are due within 7 days of completion of your project.

Payment may be made by direct deposit into our bank account or by credit card (by prior arrangement).

Epiphany Editing & Publishing endeavours to provide a complete and accurate service for every project; however, we cannot guarantee a 100% error-free document. It is your responsibility as the project client to review and proofread all final changes.

Epiphany Editing & Publishing will not be held accountable for any liabilities incurred in relation your content or subject matter, or any losses arising from using our service.

While Epiphany Editing & Publishing exercises due diligence regarding preparation of written and graphic material, you are responsible for all trademark, patent and copyright infringement clearances.

We reserve the right to decline work that contains plagiarised content, or any project involving text which is deemed to be obscene, defamatory or otherwise offensive.

All correspondence and documents between Epiphany Editing & Publishing and our clients will be treated as confidential, unless consent has been granted by both parties involved.

In the case of desktop publishing projects, until payment for completed work is received in full, Epiphany Editing & Publishing retains copyright of any InDesign and/or other artwork files we have created for you. On receipt of your final payment, full copyright for the associated artwork files passes to you.

Epiphany Editing & Publishing reserves the right to display your completed project as part of our portfolio for promotional purposes (unless you specifically request otherwise).
